Matt is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and leader with expertise in residential and commercial property sectors, advising property owners and insurer clients on all building surveying disciplines including contract administration, defect diagnosis, party wall, planned maintenance, licences to alter, reinstatement, development and refurbishment works.

How do you help clients?

Specialising in insurance reinstatement work, it is so rewarding being able to help clients navigate from what is often one of the most stressful periods of their lives experiencing fires, floods, escapes of water or impact damage, to managing and implementing the crucial reinstatement to get them back into their homes in a swift and efficient manner.

I also take great pride in assisting clients with the design, procurement and implementation of refurbishing or extending their existing property or new development, seeing projects through from conception until completion.

Experience

1. Undertaking a Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule on behalf of the shared freehold owners of a large residential block of flats in Westminster which enabled them to budget and plan their cyclical maintenance programmes over the following ten year period. We were then able to assist in the tendering process and subsequent contract administration of the project.
2. Undertaking initial report followed by tender and contract administration duties helping policyholders reinstate their homes following fires or floods.
3. Assisting clients with their obligations under the Party Wall etc Act 1996, with serving of legal notices on their adjoining owners, preparing schedules of condition and compiling the Party Wall Awards with a variety of alteration and extension projects.
