Martin has a great deal of experience of acting and advising on general and complex commercial and property/land disputes for a range of commercial clients, including developers, construction companies and supermarkets.

In particular, Martin’s experience and expertise includes contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, fire safety and cladding disputes, development disputes,and disputes relating to property rights such as easements and restrictive covenants.

Martin also acts and advises on cross-border insolvency disputes for government bodies and financial institutions across Europe.

  2. Defending a complex multi-million-pound claim relating to contaminated land.
  3. Acting for a well-known supermarket on a complex dispute relating to restrictive covenants against another well-known supermarket.
  4. Successfully acting for a national housebuilder in the defence of a claim for a breach of planning permission which lead to a favourable settlement at mediation.
  5. Successfully acting for a German financial institution on an insolvency tourism case.
