Expertise
Emma is experienced in commercial litigation, with a recent focus on property and contractual disputes. Many of her cases involve advising on development agreements for major housebuilders. Emma also advises her clients in respect of breach of covenant and boundary disputes. She is familiar with land and development contracts and deals with all forms of court proceedings, mediation and negotiation. Emma is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Experience
- Advising a land owner on a significant dispute over a right of way claimed by an adjoining land owner. The dispute involved detailed analysis of complex land law issues and consideration of the client's future business activities. The parties attended mediation and successfully negotiated a settlement shortly after.
- Acting for a national housebuilder in a dispute with a landowner relating to an alleged breach of contract and loss of land value.
- Advising national housebuilders on the interpretation of provisions within sales contracts and development agreements.Â
- Advising a landowner in connection with a construction agreement and a dispute with adjoining landowners as to their failure to comply with its terms.Â
