Gateley Legal announces Roger McCourt as new head of Leeds office

We are proud to announce that we have appointed Roger McCourt as the new head of our Leeds office.
Roger McCourt joined the business in 2019 as a partner in the dispute resolution team. Ranked as a leading individual in Legal 500, he advises corporate clients and financial institutions dealing with all aspects of recoveries, litigation, dispute resolution and risk management issues.
Roger McCourt, said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the new head of our Leeds office and immensely proud of our achievement, in just over a decade.

Our Leeds office opened in 2012 with six people but quickly outgrew its Toronto Square premises and relocated to Minerva House in 2014. The office now boasts a team of 130-strong legal and support professionals, including 15 partners.
Over the last decade the office has evolved into a hub for legal excellence spanning specialisms including restructuring, corporate and banking, real estate, residential development, commercial dispute resolution, employment, and intellectual property, serving clients in sectors spanning financial services, logistics, transport, construction, housebuilding, engineering and the third sector.
The office acts for clients across the UK with a significant number of those world-class businesses being based in Yorkshire. Clients include, amongst others, Carlsberg, Leeds Playhouse, Lidl, Mamas & Papas, Marshalls, Sue Ryder, and 18 of the 20 largest housebuilders in the country as well as most of the major banks and leading accountancy practices and insolvency practitioners.
