We have advised leading education sector recruitment agency TeacherActive on the capital growth investment by Pricoa Private Capital (Pricoa).
Headquartered in Birmingham and operating through a network of 15 regional locations, TeacherActive is one of the largest specialist recruitment agencies in the country dedicated to fulfilling the temporary and permanent staffing requirements of early years, primary, secondary, SEND, and further education institutions. In 2023 the business relocated its headquarters to Interchange Place on Edmund Street with plans to grow its headcount to 100 strong within the next two years.
Pricoa Private Capital is one of the largest private debt providers globally and is the private placement arm of PGIM, the global investment management businesses of US-headquartered Prudential Financial.
The team was led by corporate partner Tom Rush, assisted by Janai Parker, Charles Davies and Felix Abbott Black. The banking elements of the deal were led by Chris Jones, supported by Lauren Jones, and Sophie Gill.
Robin Browett, CEO of TeacherActive said: “As a management team we see significant opportunity to expand our offering and geographic reach, whilst remaining focused on the service of our existing client and candidate community. We are thrilled that Pricoa shares our vision for the market, and we look forward to executing our plans and working with the Pricoa team, who have shown excellent knowledge, pragmatism and integrity through the process.”
Tom Rush, added: “TeacherActive, with its industry-leading services and two decades of experience, has consistently delivered impressive growth. The investment and growth opportunities in the teacher recruitment market are very exciting and in Pricoa, they have found an ideal investment ally to amplify their service offerings and further grow its footprint. We wish them both all the very best on the next stage of their journey.”
